Multiple Treatment Modalities at Lifetime Health and Wellness

At Lifetime Health and Wellness, our team of skilled chiropractors don’t just offer manual spinal adjustments. As chiropractors who believe in holistic healing and treating the whole person, they offer a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities that can be integrated into patient treatment plans. Our goal is to get our patients onto the path to recovery as soon as possible. Each one of our services is designed to work synergistically to achieve that goal. Our treatments include Therapeutic Massage, Acupuncture & Acupressure, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Spinal Decompression Therapy, Graston Technique, Active Release Technique, Kinesio Taping Technique, and Cold Laser Therapy.

Chiropractic care at Lifetime Health and Wellness doesn’t stop with manual spinal adjustments; our patient treatment plans go beyond for optimal patient results. First, our chiropractors do a thorough orthopedic, physical, and neurological exam, take a full medical history, and may order imaging tests when needed. The goal is to identify the root cause of your underlying pain. Once a diagnosis is achieved, an individualized treatment plan is created to target your specific needs.

Chiropractic Care Adjunct Services

Therapeutic chiropractic massage is the ideal adjunct treatment to spinal adjustments. Not only does it help prepare the body to accept the adjustment, it helps reduce pain and accelerate the body’s natural healing process with increased circulation to the injured area.

Acupuncture may be used in combination with spinal adjustments. This ancient Chinese therapy entails the insertion of hair-thin needles along the body’s meridian points to break up any blockages. It helps enhance healing and reduce pain. If you have an injury with tender points or a chronic condition like fibromyalgia, acupressure may be added to the treatment plan. This treatment modality uses a precise and focused pressure to address trigger points in the body without the use of needles.

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), also known as Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) includes decreasing pain on an acute and chronic level, promoting healing, increasing ROM, and increasing function. The knots that form in your muscles that massage therapy often targets are similar areas of treatment for TDN.  Often times these knots live at a deep level that fingers and hands just can't get to.  Those knots are the goal of TDN.  The needles used are very fine, thin, and flexible needles that are quickly tapped into the muscle and cause those knots to decrease; the muscle to loosen; and healing to begin, which ultimately decreases pain and increases proper function.

Spinal Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical treatment that uses flexion distraction force to accomplish its goals. You will lie on a special mechanized table that applies tiny amounts of outward pulling force to the spinal column. Negative (vacuum) pressure is created in the spaces between vertebrae as a result, drawing herniated or bulging discs back into their normal alignment within the spine. This relieves nerve root pressure and inflammation, putting an end to the neurological symptoms you've been experiencing.

The Graston Technique utilizes devices to break up scar tissue to reduce pain and increase mobility. It’s ideal for hamstring injuries, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many other issues.

Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented, state of the art, soft tissue system, and movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.

Kinesio, Rocktape, or Spider Tech Taping may be used for sports injuries. These taping techniques help support muscles and enhance healing. Chiropractic spinal decompression therapy can provide fast relief from sciatica pain, neck pain, and back pain. It takes place on a specialized traction table, which works to create space between spinal joints and discs to eliminate compressed nerve pressure.

Cold Laser Therapy is effective for conditions like headaches, low back pain, TMJ, arthritis, and more. It utilizes a concentrated light energy that penetrates deeply to reduce inflammation and heal soft tissues. It is highly effective for both chronic and acute conditions.
