More About Dr. Gilmer, DC
Dr. Gilmer’s journey to chiropractic care started when she was 11 years old. She was diagnosed with Scoliosis, which causes chronic pain. For years she sought traditional therapies and treatments from numerous doctors and physical therapists, but the pain persisted, limiting her activity levels.
As a last resort, her family took her to be evaluated and treated by a chiropractor. After several treatments, her pain diminished, her activity levels increased, and both her and her family were amazed. From that day forward, she vowed to become a chiropractor.
Dr. Gilmer, DC started her journey in chiropractic education in Lynchburg, VA by studying Biology and pre-med at Liberty University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree then headed to Florida to study chiropractic care at Palmer College.
After graduation, she moved back to Colorado and accepted a position at our chiropractic clinic, where we were thrilled to welcome her to our team of chiropractic professionals.
Dr. Gilmer’s Patient Focus
Dr. Gilmer, DC has a soft spot for children and pregnant women, and focused the majority of her training on helping heal and reduce the pain of pregnancy and treating childhood skeletal disorders and injuries, including Scoliosis.
She is trained in adjusting the spine and pelvises of pregnant women, which reduces pain throughout the pregnancy and makes for a smoother delivery. She can also perform spinal adjustments on babies and toddlers and receives no greater joy and satisfaction than from helping babies feel better.
